Program Services

  • Confidential or anonymous reporting of practitioners who may be impaired by reason of substance abuse or dependence, psychiatric illness or physical illness
  • Intake calls on new referrals and determine appropriate action
  • Assist with interventions
  • Arrange for evaluations and/or treatment for PRN participants
  • Coordinate treatment discharge recommendations and monitoring
  • Provide on-going advocacy for participants with DOH/DBPR, Boards/Councils, employers/partners, insurance carriers, attorneys.
  • Random toxicology call system to monitor contract compliance
  • Oversee PRN Monitored Practitioner Groups throughout Florida by tracking meeting attendance of participants and consultation with group facilitators for feedback on participants’ progress
  • Provide early detection and intervention of relapse
  • Day to day management of cases by Compliance Managers with scheduled check in phone calls
  • Implement and monitor PRN requirements in practitioners’ DOH/DBPR Final Orders
  • Conduct statewide training and seminars on referral and early identification of impaired practice
  • Provide representation at associated Boards and Councils
  • Provide support to families/significant others of PRN participants through the PRN Family Component Program
