Alexis Polles, M.D. is a graduate of Tulane University school of Medicine. She is residency trained in Emergency Medicine and Psychiatry. Dr. Polles has worked with professionals with addictive and psychiatric disorders for more than 30 years in clinical and administrative roles. She is the former Medical Director of the Mississippi Professionals Health Network. Dr. Polles is a Board Certified psychiatrist and Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, a Diplomat of the American Board of Addiction Medicine, a Certified EMDR therapist and EMDRIA approved trainer, a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist and Supervisor, and a Certified Medical Review Officer. She has been intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Her special areas of interest, in addition to addiction, are professional sexual misconduct, professional burnout, and post-traumatic stress disorder.

Penelope P. Ziegler, M.D., FASAM, is the former Medical Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Professionals Resource Network, Inc. (PRN). Before coming to PRN in July 2013, Dr. Ziegler was the Medical Director of the Virginia Health Practitioners’ Monitoring Program. She has worked in the addiction field since 1985, and been the Medical Director of several treatment and monitoring programs. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Federation of State Physician Health Programs. Dr. Ziegler is Board Certified in general and addiction psychiatry and in addiction medicine.
Associate Medical Director
Martha E. Brown, M.D. is an Associate Professor at the UF College of Medicine’s Department of Psychiatry and the Addiction Medicine Group and Florida Recovery Center (FRC). After graduation from Clemson University, Dr. Brown matriculated to Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) where she was a medical student, intern, resident and Chief Resident, and finally an Addiction Psychiatry Fellow. After graduation, she moved to New Orleans where she was an Assistant Professor at the Louisiana State University Medical School (LSU) and became Louisiana State Physician Health Program Director. After leading this program for impaired health professionals, developing prevention and treatment for patients from physicians to professional athletes, she was recruited to the University of South Florida (USF) Medical School where she became an Associate Professor of Psychiatry and director of Division of Addiction Psychiatry. In 2006, she became Associate Dean for Faculty Development in the USF college of Medicine. Dr. Brown is a double boarded psychiatrist and a national expert on controlled substance “Misprescribing” and areas of professionalism. Dr. Brown has a long history of being asked to be an expert by State and Federal governmental agencies, and has a number of scholarly and research interests in addiction psychiatry.

Jean D’Aprix, B.A., RN, CARN Jean D’Aprix began her career working as a nurse in New York hospitals, and has worked in the Behavioral Health field for over 25 years. She came to PRN as Chief Operating Officer in 2012, after having been the Assistant Director and the Executive Director at the Intervention Project for Nurses since 2001. Ms. D’Aprix has held clinical and management positions in several treatment centers for professionals, including Sante Center for Healing in Texas and Talbott Recovery Campus in Atlanta. Prior to leaving New York State in 1994, Ms. D’Aprix was instrumental in working with the New York State Nurses Association in the development of their alternative to discipline program for nurses.

Yvonne Kennedy, Ph.D., C.P., C.C.F.C. A board certified practitioner and a Fellow in Clinical Psychodrama, and Group Psychology, and Socio-Drama. Dr. Kennedy is an expert in psychodrama addictions, and an international trainer and lecturer on these subjects. She has more than 25 years of distinguished service as an administrator of a 140-bed U.S. Navy training program specializing in addictions and psychodrama. She has performed an extensive number of research projects and is widely published. Dr. Kennedy earned her Bachelor's Degree in Art from the Layton College of Art in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, her Master's in Human Resources Management from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California, and her Doctorate in Rehabilitation management from Columbia Pacific University in Navoto, California.
